I'm Michael Johnson, Founder & Creative Director of Truth And Distinction.

The foundation for Truth And Distinction was laid in 2022. On January 1, 2023, the first Truth And Distinction website went live.

But the idea behind it started with something personal.

I wanted to put a piece of myself into something I could build.

Five words became the foundation:

DRIVEN. FAITHFUL. STRONG. FOCUSED. THANKFUL.

Those weren't marketing words. They represented the man I wanted to continue becoming.

That is why T&D has never been about putting graphics on shirts simply to make clothing. Every collection begins with an idea—faith, identity, courage, discipline, perseverance, responsibility—and then that idea becomes something you can wear.

My Christian faith is at the center of that philosophy. I believe identity shouldn't be surrendered for approval, and I believe what we carry should mean something.

As Truth And Distinction has grown, so has my standard for what carries the name.

Better garments. Stronger storytelling. Greater attention to detail. A clearer understanding of who we serve and why each piece exists.

Because premium isn't something I want T&D to simply claim.

It's something we have to earn.

That's the same philosophy behind Purple Reign:

The crown isn't entitlement. It's responsibility.

And that's how I intend to keep building Truth And Distinction.
